Role Purpose
The Head of Fundraising and Partnerships will design, lead, and implement Street Child United’s (SCU) income-generation strategy with a focus on three core strands: writing applications to Trusts and Foundations, cultivating relationships with High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs), and designing and pitching sponsorship packages to corporates. This role is central to ensuring the long-term sustainability and growth of SCU’s mission, driving forward diversified income streams through strategic fundraising, relationship management, and innovative partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Lead SCU’s overall fundraising strategy with a focus on trusts & foundations, HNWIs, and corporates.
- Ensure alignment of fundraising priorities with organisational strategy and sustainability goals.
- Set annual fundraising targets, KPIs, and pipeline goals across the three strands, ensuring delivery through structured plans and regular performance monitoring.
- Provide timely reporting, forecasting, and strategic advice to the CEO and Board.
Trusts and Foundations
- Research, identify, and prioritise trusts and foundations with strong alignment to SCU’s mission and programmes.
- Write compelling, tailored funding applications that clearly articulate SCU’s impact and need.
- Build strong relationships with grant managers and trustees, ensuring high-quality reporting and stewardship to maximise renewals and long-term support.
- Track and forecast institutional funding opportunities, diversifying restricted and unrestricted income.
High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs)
- Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with HNWIs capable of making significant philanthropic contributions.
- Design and deliver personalised engagement strategies, including briefings, proposals, and bespoke opportunities to connect donors with SCU’s work.
- Leverage SCU’s ambassadors, networks, and events to strengthen donor pipelines and secure major gifts.
- Ensure exceptional stewardship and relationship management to encourage long-term, multi-year support.
Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorships
- Design innovative sponsorship packages for SCU’s flagship events (e.g., the Street Child World Cup) and year-round activities.
- Lead on pitching and securing high-value corporate sponsorships, maximising both income and in-kind contributions.
- Deliver creative proposals demonstrating the brand, CSR, and impact value for corporate partners.
- Manage and grow long-term relationships with corporate partners, ensuring delivery of sponsorship rights and a high-quality partner experience.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide leadership to a small fundraising and partnerships team, setting goals and fostering professional growth.
- Work collaboratively with senior leadership and trustees, to unlock new opportunities across SCU’s networks.
- Ensure compliance with SCU’s safeguarding, governance, and fundraising standards.
