SCU would like to thank partners Ei Square, who have supported our work for two years. Ei Square came on board to support SCU after the founder, Sarbani Bose, learnt about the work SCU does to support street-connected young people with access to education.
Sarbani joined the honoured guest programme during last year’s Street Child Cricket World Cup in Chennai, India. Her trip included a visit to the street dwelling families we support, and presented the opportunity to learn more about where Ei Square financial contributions are spent. Whilst on his summer break from University, Sarbani’s son Ayush also travelled out to Chennai as one of the 50 volunteers that helped run the 10-day event.
“My mother, a former teacher, instilled in me a lifelong commitment to education and social justice. When I learned about SCU’s inspiring mission to empower street children through sports and education, I was immediately drawn to their cause. By providing these children with opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive, and by raising awareness about the challenges faced by these vulnerable children, SCU is not only transforming individual lives but also creating a brighter future for our society.” – Sarbani
