Our partners at Jaja Film Productions continue to shine a light on the power of sport and storytelling, with two remarkable documentaries capturing the spirit of the Street Child United movement: Cricket Dreams and Where The Kids Have No Name.
Cricket Dreams
Cricket Dreams follows nine former street-connected children from Delhi who seize a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: competing at the Street Child Cricket World Cup in Chennai, India.
Through the tournament, art workshops, and a global conference on child rights, these young players not only experience parts of India they’ve never seen, they also find their voices on an international stage. The film captures friendship, discovery, and transformation as they use cricket to call for change for millions of street-connected children worldwide.
This month, Cricket Dreams was awarded a Mention d’Honneur at the 43rd Milano International FICTS Fest (October 7–11, 2025). The festival, held at the magnificent Palazzo Lombardia in Milan, is the grand finale of the global FICTS sports film series, a celebration of storytelling through sport.
With 11 festival selections to date, Cricket Dreams continues its global run, heading next to:
Where The Kids Have No Name
Set in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Where The Kids Have No Name offers a raw, emotional look into the lives of the estimated 3.4 million children living on the streets. The film follows both the children and the dedicated social workers who risk everything to help them find safety, identity, and hope.
It’s a powerful portrait of humanity and what it means to reach out, rebuild, and believe in a better future.
The film’s impact has resonated worldwide, earning major awards including:
The documentary has also been selected for the Nepal Cultural International Film Festival (30 Jan – 1 Feb 2026)
From the streets of Dhaka to the cricket fields of Chennai, Jaja Films’ storytelling reminds us why we do what we do: to celebrate the strength, dreams, and voices of every young person.
